Degree Requirements: Master's Degree

Master's degree candidates have the following requirements:

  • A residence requirement of one full academic year.
  • Master of Architecture: Complete required coursework and present and defend a creative design project
  • Master of Engineering: Complete required coursework.
  • Master in Finance: Complete required coursework.
  • Master of Arts in Near Eastern Studies: Complete required coursework, achieve proficiency in a Near Eastern language, and present an acceptable thesis.
  • Master in Public Affairs: Complete required coursework, successfully complete a summer internship, and pass a two-part Qualifying Examination.
  • Master in Public Policy: Complete required coursework. (This degree is intended for those with at least seven years of professional experience.)
  • Master of Science in Chemistry: Complete required coursework. (This degree is designed primarily to serve local and regional industry employees who can pursue course work only on a part-time basis.)
  • Master of Science in Engineering: Complete required coursework and present an acceptable master's research project or thesis.
